On our page we will show the Vivint Smart Home – Ping- Camera setup. This time, we will first explain how to delete the previously registered camera and then how to install a new one. Let’s take a look at what is required for camera setup; Your new camera, a screwdriver and drill, screws and/or drywall plugs, magnetic base plate included with the camera, AC adapter.
Deleting an Existing Camera: If you are using a Vivint camera before, we will show you how to delete it first on this page. Go to the Vivint application and enter the main menu. Tap the Devices menu. Here you can choose your own device. Enter the PIN code required to access the device. Tap Devices >> Camera. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and tap on Delete camera. You’ll be asked to confirm deletion. Now you can unplug your old camera and retire it.


How to add your new Vivint Camera?
Before installing your new camera, position your camera close to your panel. If the distance is long to plug the cable into the socket, do not forget to buy an extension cable. It should be preferred that your device is close to the electrical outlet. To mount the camera on the wall, use the mounting brackets that came with the device. After mounting the camera, plug it in and your camera will turn on in a few minutes.
Now let’s look at the step-by-step installation through the application;
* Enter the application panel and touch the main menu.
* Tap on Devices. Enter your pin code to open the access menu of the device.
* Tap Add new device and then Ping Camera.
* Follow the steps that appear on the panel.
* Grant all permissions such as accessing the desired location of the application.

In order for your camera to boot properly and complete the installation, the signal strength must be 70% or higher. For this, if there are obstacles, you can try to remove them or change the location of the camera.
How to reset your Vivint Ping Camera
To reset your camera, first unplug the cable you connected to the outlet. While holding the top button, plug the power back into the camera.Continue to hold the button for another 20-45 seconds. Let go once the light turns red.

During this process, some lights will flash on the camera, you just wait, the last lights will turn green and fixed. This reset is complete and the camera is ready for reinstallation. Now you can do the installation again.
Troubleshooting for camera isues: For potential camera-related issues, the reset should be the last resort as it is lengthy and will reset the camera settings. If you are experiencing any problems, such as image quality deterioration, connection problems, sound problems, etc., turn the device on and off first, then check the settings related to the problem on the application, update the application and your camera to the latest version. If these steps do not fix your problem, reset your camera that way.
